Patio
is an independent, student-run editorial platform focused on critical issues of the Latin American community and built environment. The digital/analog platform selects a topic, which provides the thematic construction for multidisciplinary creative and analytical contributions both in written and graphic form. The first issue is focused on Alterity, or the acknowledgment of the existence of oneself through the capacity to recognize the other as such a singular, subjective person.
Patio is the domain of todos/todas/todes, a pluralistic space that welcomes all humanistic expressions of nationality, gender, race, color, or creed and advances a critical attitude on the complexities of identity.
Patio is supported by the Columbia University and Institute of Latin American Studies.
